🇪🇸 #Spain. A huge arsenal of weapons have been confiscated from migrants in Ceuta, including hammers, swords, iron bars, and knives.
These migrants look like they are armed for a Medieval battlefield. Among the weapons are pickaxes, knives, axes, and various tools. It is not clear whether the migrants brought these items from Morocco or obtained them in Spanish territory.

"While he was yet speaking, the son of the governor arrived, and said that he wished to try the temper of his arms upon the bodies of the martyrs. This was the reason why they were executed in so unusual a manner.
Their heads were not merely cut off, but each by a blow of the sabre had his head taken off together with the left shoulder. Leo was in his sixty-first year, Andrew was twenty-five, Thomas twenty-three, and John twenty."

Cordileone: “Powerful Forces in the West” Are Forcing Their Culture on Africa: Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone warned that Western society has lost its understanding of family. He spoke during the August 22 ordination of 14 priests in Makurdi, Nigeria. “We no longer understand these basic truths in the West, not even what it means to be a family born of a mutual self-giving love of husband and wife,” Cordileone said. He described Western society as increasingly lifeless and self-centered: “Even more serious are the powerful forces in the West that are forcing this on the rest of the world, especially here in Africa,” he said. “Thank you for resisting. I know the pressure is great, especially for national leaders on this continent.”

Archbishop Cordileone in Nigeria:
“We no longer understand these basic truths in the West, not even what it means to be a family born of a mutual self-giving love of husband and wife.”
“As a consequence, our Western society has become lifeless and colorless with the decreasing capacity for relationship.”
“Even friendship, the love of Philios, let alone Agape, has become self-centered.”

Two decades ago, a weekly cultural program called Panorama Radial aired on an AM radio station in the suburbs of Buenos Aires (Radio Mi País) addressed a variety of topics of interest to Catholics, many of them related to religious and civil anniversaries.
It was a rare and educational gem amidst the deluge of modern media, which has submerged a large part of the population. Some of its topics remain surprisingly relevant. Therefore, we have decided to publish them here, without a fixed date, starting with a broadcast from July 18, 2006, shortly before the publication of Summorum Pontificum, which discusses the unjust restrictions the hierarchy applies to the Tridentine Mass!
It is lamentable to note that, in this regard, everything is the same or worse than it was then!
