Leo XIV’s Encyclical Is NOT Against AI

Pope Leo XIV is ultimately not against AI but aims to guide it toward the common good, writes Nico Spuntoni on LaNuovaBq.it (May 24).
He has seen a preview of the encyclical ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ that will be published tomorrow.
Leo XIV writes about a crossroads between self-sufficiency and solidarity. The pious-sounding solution Leo XIV offers to avert dehumanization through AI is "the mystery of the Incarnation".
As did Leo XIII facing the social question of the 19th century, Leo XIV believes to offer an answer “to another industrial revolution and the developments in artificial intelligence, which pose new challenges for the defense of human dignity, justice, and work.”
Leo XIV talks consistently with the overused word “discernment” to guide the actions in an age of widespread familiarity with artificial intelligence.
The encyclical warns of danger of humanity gaining excessive power over itself and against moral irresponsibility resulting from overreliance on artificial intelligence. …Higit pa

A clear picture of the TRUE Church and the Anti-Church:
1) The TRUE Church, which honors Jesus in his last Holy Pontiff, meek and gentle as his Lord, Pope Benedict XVI, welcomed him.
2) The Anti-Church and St. Gallen Mafia expressed their hatred and rejection of the last Holy Pontiff, who represents Jesus, just as the Jews did, and exchanged him for Barabbas, who came in his own name. Although he dressed like a lamb, he hated Jesus and inflicted great harm on the Church and the flock with fury.
3) Matthew 27:17, 20–21; Pilate said to them, “Which one shall I release to you: Barabbas or Jesus, who is called the Christ?” The chief priests and the elders, however, had persuaded the crowd to demand the release of Barabbas and the execution of Jesus. When the governor spoke and asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas.”

Vienna Archbishop Confirms Retirement for Rector of St Stephen's Cathedral

Pro-homosexual Archbishop Josef Grünwidl of Vienna - one of the many questionable appointments by Leo XIV - has confirmed that the controversial rector of St. Stephen's Cathedral, Rev Toni Faber, 64, will retire.
The cathedral will receive new leadership in summer 2027.
Society priest Faber has attended public dance festivals with a woman for years and has questioned celibacy. He has also supported same-sex blessings.
In an interview with Austrian state radio ORF on Saturday, Archbishop Grünwidl claimed that his decision was mainly due to Rector Faber's long tenure.
Archbishop Grünwidl noted that no one in the history of the Cathedral has held the post of rector for 30 years, describing Faber’s tenure as “a record”.
However, the archbishop stressed that this does not mean that Rev. Faber will withdraw completely from pastoral work or leave St. Stephen’s Square.
The Archbishop even praised Rev. Faber’s decades of service and emphasised their close personal relationship. “We were …Higit pa

Christians in China
This testimony gives us a glimpse into the faithfulness and tenacity with which our Chinese brothers and sisters live their Faith.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Chinese Catholic Priest.
hmtv on Mar 31, 2016 "In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" presents a Catholic priest who is forced to exercise his ministry in China clandestinely for being faithful to the Holy See. Since the implantation of communism in the country, the Catholic Church has suffered a rupture in its communion with the Holy See. Those who remain faithful to Rome are subjected to re-education camps, vigilance by the government, censures, tortures… Many priests and bishops are arrested, imprisoned or have disappeared. The recognition of the Holy Father as representative of Christ on earth entails a high price for the Christians in China, and this testimony gives us a glimpse into the faithfulness and tenacity with which our Chinese brothers and sisters live their Faith.

Sheshan Basilica of Mary, Help of Christians is one of the most prominent pilgrimage shrines in China.
In May 2007, Pope Benedict XVI released a Letter to Chinese Catholics, in which he asked that May 24 each year be celebrated as a World Day of Prayer for the Church in China. He chose May 24 because it is the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, who is venerated at the Shrine of Sheshan in Shanghai.[6] The following year Pope Benedict composed a prayer to Our Lady of Sheshan.[7]
On May 24, 2009, during his Regina Caeli papal address, Pope Benedict XVI designated May 24, the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, as a day of prayer for Chinese Catholics calling them to renew their fidelity to the Pope as the sole successor of Saint Peter.

Leo XIV’s Appoints Italian Bishop who is “At Home” in Mosque

Today, Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor Cesare Di Pietro as the new bishop of the Diocese of Locri-Gerace in Calabria.
Born in Messina on March 12, 1964, he was ordained a priest in 1997.
He held several institutional Church roles, including secretary to Archbishop Marra of Messina, official at the Congregation for Bishops, rector of the Messina seminary, and professor of Church History.
In 2018, Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop of Messina. At his first press conference, he supported “a Church open as Pope Francis wants it”.
In May 2019, he attended the Muslim Iftar dinner during Ramadan at the Islamic Center in Messina, and afterwards declared: "Today, we lived a beautiful moment united by fraternity."
In summer 2023, he attended the Muslim Eid al-Fitr celebrations at the mosque in Messina. He told the congregation that he has come to celebrate the great feast, which recalls the sacrifice of Abraham our father in faith: “Here I feel at home”.
In June 2024, the Muslim …Higit pa

Cardinal Fernández Attacks Benedict XVI

Cardinal Víctor “Tucho” Fernández, a soft-porn author and the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, criticized the Congregation’s Notification on the Works of Fr. Jon Sobrino, S.J. from 2006.
At the time, the congregation was led by Cardinal William Levada. The notification was issued with the approval of Pope Benedict XVI. It declared that some of the Spanish Jesuit’s works contain “notable discrepancies with the faith of the Church.”
On May 12, speaking at Pontifical Urban University, Tucho claimed that the notification “does not encourage the effort to take seriously the context in which theological reflection takes place.”
He attacked the notification for declaring that theology rooted in “the context of the poor” was “inadequate and dangerous”. Tucho also criticized the idea that theology can begin only from ecclesial tradition without serious engagement with lived historical realities.

The Resurrection of the Christ. It starts from the fallen Angels. (Mel Gibson)

Mel Gibson just revealed the most ambitious Christian film ever made — and it starts before the resurrection, before the cross, at the fall of the angels themselves. This is what $200 million and seven years of secret writing looks like.
📌Spotlight Moments: -Gibson tells Joe Rogan the sequel spans from the fall of angels to the death of the last apostle — on IMAX cameras -$200 million budget across two films — the largest Christian film production in history, dwarfing The Passion of the Christ's $30M -The Harrowing of Hell gets its own cinematic act — Christ descending into Sheol, filmed in full IMAX scale -Angelic and demonic battles in other realms confirmed by Deadline sources close to production -Jim Caviezel is out — Finnish unknown Jaakko Otonen steps in as a transfigured, glorified Christ -Gibson on the resurrection: "Verifiable history" — not metaphor, not tradition, not a performance

Dona Cesarina, an Enemy of TFP

Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Folha de S.Paulo, on September 11, 1968
“I don’t like the motto of your society,” quipped Dona Cesarina* (see footnote), an acquaintance I had not seen in many years, as I met her by chance near the Conde Prates Building. Dona Cesarina is still a young grandmother who is always on the leading edge of all modernity.
However, despite Dona Cesarina’s permanent effort to keep “up-to-date,” she still has something homey, peaceable and even conservative about her which is no doubt left over from other eras in which she lived. This image, incidentally, she deems inadequate to her public persona, and thus carefully tries to hide it.
I took advantage of this likable “weak” side of my lively interlocutor to ask her, “Why don’t you like our motto? Does even the word ‘family’ displease you?”
Caught off-guard, Dona Cesarina replied, “Well, I wouldn’t go that far. Let’s say that, in a pinch, ‘family’ is all right. It is even beautiful that you put it on your motto …Higit pa
