Historic Cathedral, Now a Parish Church, Abused for Political Dinner: On June 12 and 13, a 'Heavenly Dinner' was held in St. Andrä’s former cathedral, the historic episcopal church of the now-defunct Diocese of Lavant in Austria. Today, the Cathedral serves as a parish church. Several local restaurateurs jointly prepared the dinner, while local politicians and other guests dined inside the church. Before the meal, a table prayer was recited. As host, Dean Fr. Gerfried Sitar welcomed the guests. During the evening, the clergyman was also awarded the Gold Plaque of the City of St. Andrä.

HOW LONG DO SOULS REMAIN IN PURGATORY? The length of time souls are detained in Purgatory depends on: a) the number of their faults; b) the malice and deliberation with which these have been committed; c) the penance done, or not done, the satisfaction made, or not made for sins during life; d) Much, too, depends on the suffrages offered for them after death What can safely be said is that the time souls spend in Purgatory is, as a rule, very much longer than people commonly imagine. We will quote a few of the many instances which are recounted in the lives and revelations of the Saints. St. Louis Bertrand's father was an exemplary Christian, as we should naturally expect, being the father of so great a Saint. He had even wished to become a Carthusian monk until he learned that it was not God's will for him. When he died, after long years spent in the practice of every Christian virtue, his saintly son, fully aware of the rigors of God's Justice, offered many Masses and poured forth the …Makîria
Protestant Prayer and the Catholic Mass as “Different Pathways to God”: “Catholic” U.S. Vice President JD Vance appeared to relativize the Catholic Church and the Eucharist during a June 16 interview on Fox & Friends. Speaking about what he called the strength of “the American church,” Vance emphasized the diversity of [contradicting] Christian denominations: “You can't be an American Catholic or an American Pentecostal or an American Southern Baptist without running into someone who has a slightly different perspective on faith.” He added: “It's all about Jesus.” Vance sees "different ways" by which people find God: “Different ways, sometimes with 'snake handlers' [evangelicals in Kentucky], sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass, but I think all these pathways really matter and they're part of the reason why we do find our path to God.”
JD Vance: "One of the things I love about the American church is there are all of these different pathways to God ... sometimes with snake handlers, sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass. But I think all of these pathways really matter."
The Ukrainian people were showing and telling Russia where the conscription offices were located. So Russia can destroy them. I posted about that awhile ago. And RT has mentioned it again in a post I just put up. Some people have died and have been seriously injured by those thugs. It won't come to an end till the last Ukrainian is dead. As long as they kill a lot of Russians. Their only goal! The reported Russian attacks on Ukrainian conscription centers came hours after a large protest in Kiev, said to have been sparked by forced mobilization. The rare mass demonstration was broken up by riot police, who used tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to local media.
5 fresh cases of the ongoing forced mobilization in Ukraine *In case #1, military recruiters started kicking a guy at the entrance of his own apartment... *In case #5, they attacked a guy in the underground... Join us | @MyLordBebo
Pope Leo XIV published today a video message for the climate World Summit in Vienna, Austria. He called for a "just transition" to new economic models, urged wealthy nations to provide greater financial support, and advocated the development of a new international financial framework. All this is presented within the façade and language of Catholic social teaching and care for creation and the poor. Three key quotes, emphasis added. - "These challenges [peace, natural resources, climate change] require international cooperation, together with cohesive and forward-looking multilateralism in order to find effective solutions." - "It is not merely desirable but also genuinely possible that the progress at COP30 [United Nations’ climate summit] can be followed up with a just transition toward societies where the common good takes precedence over profit, and economic models are rooted in solidarity and human dignity. Yet, this requires wealthier countries to meet their obligations to …Makîria

"Devil" Beer Tap in Belgian Confessional: A deconsecrated church built in 1878 in Antwerp, Belgium, has served as a foyer for Theater Elckerlyc since 2025. One confessional now contains a token machine, while another has been fitted with a self-service Duvel 6.66% beer tap. "Duvel" is Dutch for "devil" and is also the name of a Belgian beer brand. An earlier report claimed the diocese had approved the concept, but the article was corrected on 10 June: the diocese says it was not involved in the redevelopment.

Leo XIV’s newly appointed archbishop of New York, the effeminate Monsignor Ronald Hicks, celebrated a recent win of the New York basketball team ‘Knicks’ with the Muslim Mayor Zohran Mamdani at the city’s Puerto Rican festival. On Sunday, Hicks abused the homily during the Eucharist to talk about his basketball religion again.
This is the new Archbishop of New York (lacking some male hormons to my mind)
June 16 - Saint John Francis Regis breski1 Priest (1597-1640) St. John Francis Regis was born in Languedoc, France. As a youth, he showed innocence of life, modesty and love of prayer. When he turned 18, he entered the Society of Jesus and gave himself entirely to Christ and the salvation of souls. Fr. John spent the winter in country missions - principally in mountain districts. In spite of the harsh weather and people's roughness, he gained innumerable souls to Christ. They converted from heresy and immoral acts through his prayers, mortifications, works and preaching. In the summer, Fr. John visited hospitals and prisons: preaching, instructing and assisting everyone in need. In November 1637, Fr. John set out for his second mission in Marthes: crossing snow-filled valleys and frozen and precipitous mountains. While climbing a mountain, a bush he was clinging to gave way, and he broke his leg in the fall. With his companion's help, he covered the remaining six miles, but instead of …Makîria
Archbishop Franco Moscone of Manfredonia-Vieste-San Giovanni Rotondo has come under criticism after signing a petition calling on the Il Libro Possibile festival to reconsider hosting Israeli novelist Eshkol Nevo. According to AgenSir on June 15, Monsignor Moscone argued that intellectuals have a duty to speak clearly in the face of injustice. He added that Nevo had failed to provide sufficient "criticism and clarity" regarding the actions of the Israeli government. He insisted that "the issue is not that Nevo is Israeli." Festival organizers rejected the petition and confirmed that Nevo will participate as scheduled, noting that the writer has repeatedly spoken in favor of peace. The initiative triggered sharp reactions within the Italian Church. Archbishop Giuseppe Baturi, secretary-general of the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI), said that "peace is not built by preventing those who think differently from speaking." Archbishop Carmelo Pennisi of Monreale described the campaign as …Makîria
With Vatican II's document NOSTRA AETATE, non-Christian religions were basically proclaimed to be equal to Catholicism. A huge can of poisonous worms was thus released.
Bishop Appointed by Leo XIV Backs ‘Female Pope’ Campaign The Diocese of St. Gallen, Switzerland, launched its "I’m In" ("Ich bin dabei") campaign on May 4 across 25 towns and villages. The billboard, web and social media campaign features clergy, church employees and volunteers posing provocative questions. One poster shows a pastoral worker asking: “Shall we pave the way for the election of the first female Pope?” — followed by the campaign’s signature response: "I’m in." Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Beat Grögli as Bishop of St. Gallen in May 2025, despite his publicly known support for the ordination of women

Today, Archbishop Carlo Viganò published the personal letter that he had sent to Pope Leo XIV in January. It appears that - despite Viganò having denied that Francis was a legitimate pope - he recognizes Leo XIV. Monsignor Viganò addresses Leo XIV as "Holiness," asks him to exercise his authority, and seeks an audience with him. Archbishop Viganò recounts his long career in Vatican service, argues that he was punished for exposing corruption and doctrinal problems in the Church, explains how retirement led him to reject Vatican II and the post-conciliar direction of the Church, defends himself against the charge of schism, and urges Leo XIV to break with the errors of the Francis era and the synodal project. The letter contains a noticeably heavy use of first-person pronouns and is full of self-reference, emphasis on personal integrity, descriptions of persecution and mistreatment, frequent presentation of himself as a key witness to major events, and relatively little self-criticism …Makîria

June 15th - Saint of the Day: Saint Amos, Prophet Faith without justice is just noise. Saint Amos was not a priest, a scholar, or a polished religious influencer. He was a shepherd from Tekoa, tending flocks and sycamore trees, until God called him to walk into a wealthy, comfortable kingdom and tell the truth nobody wanted to hear. Israel looked blessed from the outside. Money was flowing. Worship was happening. People were showing up for the religious festivals. But behind the scenes, the poor were being crushed, the courts were corrupt, and the powerful were using religion as a cover for injustice. Then Amos spoke the line that still shakes the soul: “Let justice surge like waters, and righteousness like an unfailing stream.” That is not a slogan. It is a warning. Saint Amos reminds us that God is not impressed by public faith that does not become private conversion. Mass should change how we treat people. Prayer should make us more honest. Worship should make us …Makîria
