On 6 September, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) was denied entry to the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi. The group had planned to conclude their annual pilgrimage with public prayer inside the basilica. Individual pilgrims were permitted to enter privately or in small groups. The group therefore remained outside and concluded their pilgrimage in the basilica square. Father Gabriele D’Avino, head of the FSSPX in Italy, drew a contrast between this decision and the interreligious gathering in Assisi on 27 October, for which representatives of different religions and Christian denominations are expected to attend the 40th anniversary of the 1986 World Day of Prayer for Peace.

Around 100 motorcyclists gathered with their bikes for a an Open Air Eucharist at the Madonna del Lago church in Castel Gandolfo last Sunday. The annual gathering is led by parish priest and motorcyclist Rev. Tadeusz Rozmus, known as “Don Biker.” During the Novus Ordo, prayers were offered for riders, their families and those killed in road accidents. The bikers then rode in procession through Castel Gandolfo to join Leo XIV for the Angelus. The Pope gave them a special greeting, welcoming the motorcyclists attending their “traditional annual gathering.”
Completed in May 2026, the restoration of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill, Nebraska, revived its historic artistic character. Like many churches, its interior was disfigured in the mid-20th century, including the loss of its original apsidal fresco and installation of a monumental crucifix with a faux stained-glass-style backdrop. Conrad Schmitt Studios renewed the interior with stenciling, gold leaf, faux-marbled columns, and a new apsidal mural depicting the Ascension. The project also returned the high altar to prominence.

Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, 97, in a text published by Sandro Magister on September 8, writes about “synodality.” Main points: - According to the classical Catholic understanding, a synod is a meeting of bishops for the purpose of exercising jointly their teaching and pastoral ministry. - In 1965, Paul VI created the so-called Synod of Bishops as a consultative body of the pope. - Recently established bodies whose members include, in addition to bishops, priests and lay faithful of both sexes cannot properly be called synods. - Competent laypeople can, of course, be entrusted with a consultative role. But wherever such collaboration is practiced, one should carefully avoid any misleading use of the terms “synod,” “synodality,” and the like, and instead find a term that adequately expresses the actual situation. - The establishment of such bodies arises from an effort to adopt secular structures and democratic procedures within the life of the Church. - What is being proposed within the …Ebisinga

The U.S. bishops’ Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has given the Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) more than $400,000 across nine grant cycles since 2009, including $25,000 in 2026. The controversy concerns WIN’s leadership and CCHD oversight. Former CCHD grant specialist Randy Keesler was responsible for the Washington, D.C., region while also holding leadership roles within WIN - creating a potential conflict of interest. WIN is now headed by Protestant preacher Alison Dunn-Almauger, its executive director, who backed a homosexual campaign at Baylor University. Even more striking is WIN strategy-team member Rev. Rob Keithan, who previously worked with Planned Parenthood.

Statement from the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage Organisers: "A Vatican source told AdVaticanum that the decision followed difficulties in obtaining access and permission for the celebration at St Peter’s this year." "According to the source, who is familiar with the negotiations, last year’s Mass was viewed within the Pope’s “circle” and among staff at St Peter’s Basilica as “gloating”... arguing that last year’s permission had been followed by a celebration whose scale and tone were interpreted as a triumph by those overseeing access to the basilica." “Whilst we are regretful that Mass will not be held at St Peter’s, we are grateful to the Holy Father and to the Cardinal Archpriest of the Liberian Basilica for giving us the opportunity to celebrate Mass alongside Our Lady,” the organiser said. Jesus to Sister Amalia: I Will Grant Whatever is Asked if Begged for the Sake of My Mother's Tears! -- youtube.com/live/A6eZHrd2lHc?cbrd=1&ucbcb=1 Our-Lady-of-Tears-Rosary -- PDF healingheartofjesus.com/…ads/2022/06/Our-Lady-of-… Our Lady of Tears presents us with an image of the Blessed Mother, and an opportunity to transform our own tears into prayer. It all started on November 8, 1929, in Campinas, Brazil. Sister Amalia, of the Institute of the Missionaries of the Scourged Jesus, felt pangs of sorrow for a mother in her life. She had just met with a male relative who was in great distress. His wife, seriously ill, had been diagnosed by several doctors as incurable. He came to Sister Amalia, because he didn’t know where else to turn, he didn’t know what to do, and he didn’t know what God expected of him. His children would be left motherless, and he couldn’t bear the thought of being without his wife. Sister Amalia, pained at her relative’s grief and the thought of the sorrow facing …Ebisinga
Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, removed in June as an exorcist by Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy, is continuing his deliverance ministry. In an August 3 email to subscribers, Monsignor Rossetti said he remains a priest in good standing in his home Diocese of Syracuse, New York, and will continue his work through the St. Michael Center, which operates within the territory of the Washington archdiocese. On June 3, Cardinal McElroy removed Rossetti as an archdiocesan exorcist and ended all affiliation between the Archdiocese of Washington and Rossetti's St. Michael Center. Monsignor Rossetti argues that he retains priestly faculties in several dioceses and exorcist faculties in two others. He also says his own bishop has encouraged him to continue the ministry. The June controversy followed Rossetti's eccentric claim that UFOs "are, in fact, demons." Cardinal McElroy - who had removed him for this claim - later said the decision was not about UFOs but reflected his view that the role of an …Ebisinga
Read this garbage: Msgr Rossetti says " sexual abuse of minors by mothers could more easily be disguised as ordinary acts of cleaning, grooming or dressing children." If it is true that he said this, such a thought could only come from a rotten, corrupt mind. Our mothers -our blessed, beloved mothers- could never do such a thing! Thank you, Mom, for taking care of me since I was a baby!
Every 29 June, within St Peter’s Basilica, one of the most striking Catholic traditions returns. The vesting of the statue of Saint Peter, including the cope and the tiara.
Woman Distributes Communion at Leo XIV’s Eucharist — One Communicant Bare-Chested During the Eucharist celebrated by Leo XIV this evening at the Port of Rimini, a woman was spreading Communion in the hand as if it were cookies. One male attendee even received Communion bare-chested, without a shirt.
Archbishop Aldo Cavalli, 79, a former Apostolic Nuncio and the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje, administered Confirmation to two young Irish Travellers in the Adoration Chapel in Medjugorje, reports David Murgia on IlSegnoDiGiona. According to pictures, the women wore inappropriate short white pyjamas. Murgia says the outfits reflect festive dress customary in the Irish Traveller community. He claims to have verified the circumstances through multiple sources and that the photographs are authentic.

@Boanerges Boanerges You probably have never been in Medjugorje. The chapel is very recognizable as the "adoration chapel"; no doubt at all. The photo is authentic. If not, the parish of Medjugorje would have protested on their website and the publisher of the photo's would face a trial in court. MEDJUGORJE, ABITI PROVOCANTI DURANTE LE CRESIME? … Mgr. Cavalli is a "believer" of the synodal church and according to this "church" one should adept foreign cultural elements of other groups into the liturgy.... 209 Out of respect for the holiness of God, the people of Israel do not pronounce his name. In the reading of Sacred Scripture, the revealed name (YHWH) is replaced by the divine title "LORD" (in Hebrew Adonai, in Greek Kyrios). It is under this title that the divinity of Jesus will be acclaimed: "Jesus is LORD."
The Prisoner Who Returned to Celebrate the Eucharist On 31 July 2026, Cardinal Ernest Simoni celebrated the Eucharist at the former communist prison camp of Spaç in Albania. There, he spent years imprisoned and subjected to forced labor after his arrest (1963). He remained imprisoned until 1981. In a message for the occasion, Pope Leo XIV wrote that "no prison can separate a person from the love of Christ."

Burning Crosses at a Polish Festival: On 26 June, during the Bangarang heavy metal festival in Chwałkowo, Poland, a stage performance included the burning of wooden crosses. A firefighter stood by for fire safety. Local politicians and officials condemned the act as blasphemous and disrespectful of religious feeling.

A firefighter stood by for fire safety. Local politicians and officials condemned the act as blasphemous and disrespectful of religious feeling. And yet it was still allowed. Even with a firefighter to make sure it doesn't get out of control. Their only real concern. A lot of people get away with this sort of thing in Poland like Blaspheming against Catholics and GOD. Very few are even fined. Then below we have this mess in Poland. No wonder they don't stop burning of crosses and filthy plays. You will never see this in Russia! It's a crime, and a serious crime to attack any religion in Russia. They won't pretend to be outraged. THEY WILL BE! And off to jail you go! Freedom of religion is one thing they take very seriously. They got caught in their own laws trying to ban freemasons. But working on how to change it without hurting others. That will be one huge challenge they have on their hands. Thankfully there isn't many at all. About 1.000 +. This is why many hate Russia. She destroys …Ebisinga
A Papal Handshake, a Cathedral Fire, and a Murder: On July 4 in Lampedusa, Leo XIV shook the hands of 20 illegal immigrants who had just arrived in Europe. He reminded everyone that all human life carries immeasurable worth. One of his predecessor’s handshakes later took on a dark meaning. In 2016, Pope Francis shook hands with Rwandan national Emmanuel Abayisenga. In 2020, Abayisenga set fire to the 15th-century Nantes cathedral in France. In 2021, he murdered the priest who had taken him in and sheltered him after the fire.
