A Vatican Dicastery secretary attended an interreligious ceremony featuring the Balinese idol Barong. On 5 September, Vatican representatives attended the Tri Hita Karana Universal Reflection Ceremony at Sunset Mandala, Bali. Part of Bali Harmony Encounter Week 2026, it was organized with Pope Francis-founded Scholas Occurrentes. Present were Msgr. Indunil Kankanamalage, Secretary of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, Rev. Marcin Schmidt, and Scholas director Maria Paz, alongside Indonesian officials, Balinese royalty and representatives of different religions. Organizers said the evening was “anchored by an interfaith prayer” and included the Bumi Bajra troupe performing with a "Barong" from Ubud Palace, accompanied by “sacred rhythms.” Barong, a lion-like ceremonial figure, represents a supernatural protector in Balinese Hindu tradition and is closely associated with Balinese religious ritual and temple life.

Honoring Idol Barong in Bali: The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue participated in a gathering in Indonesia organized by Scholas Occurrentes and United in Diversity.

Opinion: Ignored for years, Canada’s vaccine-injured finally get their day in Parliament

Author: Jason Unrau The idea of two solitudes in Canada is typically understood as the great divide between Anglophones and Francophones who cannot see eye-to-eye due to cultural and linguistic differences, the latter preventing any meaningful communication to bridge the gap. But in the post-COVID era, “two solitudes” could just as easily describe the chasm between lawmakers, legacy media and its subscribers who remain uninterested in the suffering that COVID vaccines caused, and the camp of vaccine-injured, their advocates and members of the public who saw through the “safe and effective” lies, understand the damage caused and now want accountability. While any accountability for the human toll that experimental COVID vaccines wrought has been non-existent in Canada, on Tuesday, Conservative MP Dean Allison’s COVID vaccine injury hearings – dubbed The Allison Inquiry – began on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Whether it will bring Canada’s two COVID solitudes any closer together remains to …

And the sad outcome is that those at top like former PM Justin Trudeau who pushed the experimental shot as being safe and effective have not been held accountable. He should be charged with a crime against Canadians.

A Christian of unknown denomination has become the patron of a new Catholic parish in Texas. Bishop Michael Olson of Fort Worth has announced the creation of a parish in Arlington named after Matthew Ayariga, a Ghanaian killed by ISIS in Libya in 2015. Ayariga was abducted alongside 20 Egyptian Coptic Christians. On February 15, 2015, ISIS executed all 21 men on a Libyan beach. According to accounts of the event, when Ayariga was asked about his faith, he replied, “Their God is my God.” The Coptic Orthodox group canonized all 21 victims shortly after their deaths. In 2023, Francis announced that the 21 martyrs would also be added to the Roman Martyrology.

On 7 September, Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller addressed the “Tavola di Assisi 2026”: “Islam… is not ashamed of God, it is not ashamed of transcendence, but it proposes an anthropology and a revelation radically different from the Christian ones.” Invoking St Francis of Assisi’s encounter with Sultan al-Malik al-Kamil, Müller rejected the modern portrayal of Francis as a precursor of interreligious dialogue: “Francis did not go to Egypt to open a diplomatic salon and confirm the Sultan in his faith.” Instead, he went convinced that Jesus Christ is the only Savior. For Cardinal Müller, calling Muslims to conversion is “not an act of hostility… on the contrary, it is the highest act of charity.” He also warned that the Christian West is not “simply threatened by external forces, but is being worn down by an internal apostasy.”

"It is clear that such a concept of synodality is incompatible with Catholic ecclesiology." Card. Walter Brandmüller

Synodality Is Inspired by the Protestant Model - Cardinal Brandmüller

Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, 97, in a text published by Sandro Magister on September 8, writes about “synodality.” Main points:
- According to the classical Catholic understanding, a synod is a meeting of bishops for the purpose of exercising jointly their teaching and pastoral ministry.
- In 1965, Paul VI created the so-called Synod of Bishops as a consultative body of the pope.
- Recently established bodies whose members include, in addition to bishops, priests and lay faithful of both sexes cannot properly be called synods.
- Competent laypeople can, of course, be entrusted with a consultative role. But wherever such collaboration is practiced, one should carefully avoid any misleading use of the terms “synod,” “synodality,” and the like, and instead find a term that adequately expresses the actual situation.
- The establishment of such bodies arises from an effort to adopt secular structures and democratic procedures within the life of the Church.
- What is being proposed within the …Zwiṅwe

On 6 September, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) was denied entry to the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi. The group had planned to conclude their annual pilgrimage with public prayer inside the basilica. Individual pilgrims were permitted to enter privately or in small groups. The group therefore remained outside and concluded their pilgrimage in the basilica square. Father Gabriele D’Avino, head of the FSSPX in Italy, drew a contrast between this decision and the interreligious gathering in Assisi on 27 October, for which representatives of different religions and Christian denominations are expected to attend the 40th anniversary of the 1986 World Day of Prayer for Peace.

Renzo Pegoraro, Leo XIV-appointed President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, has doubled down on his mad position on assisted suicide. Following his Avvenire interview, Monsignor Pegoraro told Corriere.it that Italy should pursue a national law, calling on political parties to press Parliament for legislation rather than leaving the issue to regional authorities. On the same day, his predecessor, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, intervened in LaRepubblica.it, saying Parliament should “shoulder its responsibilities” and establish national rules. Archbishop Pegoraro also addressed a Trentino provincial council committee examining an assisted-suicide bill, where he again called for uniform national regulation. LaNuovaBq.it suggests the simultaneous interventions could point to coordinated Italian Church backing for a national assisted-suicide law, possibly involving Italian bishops’ president Cardinal Matteo Zuppi.

Stessa linea difesa da Paglia in un articolo su Repubblica. Ma dare il proprio assenso ad una legge ingiusta significa tradire la dottrina cattolica. Cardinal Burke told the harsh truth: what happened in Sodom is happening again. The days of Noah too. Only now it has laws, doctors, and a flag. Not “things are bad.” Not “culture is changing.” The same pattern. God looked at the world before the flood and saw people violating the way He made them. Male and female. Marriage. The body. The family. Burke named the modern version without flinching. Transgenderism. Surgeries that mutilate the body to match an idea. Sexual relationships that break the bond of marriage. Evil getting praised as if it were good. Human life is inviolable. Sex is for the union of man and woman and the family. God is to be worshiped in spirit and in truth.

The U.S. bishops’ Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has given the Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) more than $400,000 across nine grant cycles since 2009, including $25,000 in 2026. The controversy concerns WIN’s leadership and CCHD oversight. Former CCHD grant specialist Randy Keesler was responsible for the Washington, D.C., region while also holding leadership roles within WIN - creating a potential conflict of interest. WIN is now headed by Protestant preacher Alison Dunn-Almauger, its executive director, who backed a homosexual campaign at Baylor University. Even more striking is WIN strategy-team member Rev. Rob Keithan, who previously worked with Planned Parenthood.

Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) is a long-time grant recipient of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, having received over $400,000 in grants across nine grant cycles dating back to 2009. The CCHD’s relationship with WIN runs even deeper than grant giving as the recently retired CCHD grant specialist Randy Keesler (WIN’s leadership profile of Keesler indicates that he retired from the CCHD in the Fall of 2023) held leadership roles with WIN at least as far back as 2017. This article from 2017 quotes Keesler and describes him as a WIN leader: In December of 2017, IAF quoted Keesler – as the head of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church’s social justice ministry (a member congregation of WIN) – indicating that the project indicated above was spearheaded by WIN. In November of 2018, Keesler is again identified as the chairman for social justice at Holy Redeemer which is also identified as a member of WIN. OUT ON THE STREETS OF ROME LITERALLY BECAUSE OF VATICAN COUNCIL II AND THE CATECHISM INTERPRETED RATIONALLY
I am out on the streets of Rome at night - literally, because I affirm the Catholic teaching, outside the Church there is no salvation. This is according to the Bible, Vatican Council II and the Catechism. The Missionaries of Charity brothers and sisters do the same.
Even The Mother Teresa priests and religious sisters a) affirm the Bible, Vatican Council II and the Catechism of Pope John Paul II and b) interpret LG 8, 14,16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 in Vatican Council II as being hypothetical and invisible cases in 2026. So our conclusion is the same. The Council is dogmatic ( AG 7/EENS) and ecclesiocentric ( AG 7 with no explicit exceptions in LG 8, 14,16 etc).

Converted mother goes to court for reading the Bible to her daughter.

A Maine mother has been ordered by a court to stop reading the Bible to her daughter in her own home. Emily Bickford, a Christian mother, has been embroiled in a long-running custody dispute over the religious upbringing of her daughter, Ava. After becoming a Christian several years after Ava's birth, Bickford began taking her to church and teaching her the faith. The dispute intensified after Ava expressed interest in being baptized. A December 2024 court order restricted Bickford's ability to bring Ava to her church and gave the child's father significant authority over decisions concerning religious upbringing and medical care. Most notably, the order prohibits Bickford from reading the Bible to her daughter in her own home, a direct infringement on her religious freedom. Despite the restrictions, Ava continues to independently read the Bible and maintain her faith. Bickford plans to petition the U.S. Supreme Court with the help of Liberty Counsel.
